Compass Box are a renowned blender of very special whiskies and they will be exhibiting for the first time at the 2019 Harrow Whisky Festival. They describe themselves as a ‘Whiskymaker’ and strive to ask questions, to challenge and to experiment. The names on some of the bottlings give a clue to something unusual ranging across Hedonism, Delilah, Spice Tree and Enlightenment to mention a few. Labelling is also very distinctive and unlike many classic or traditional whisky labels.
The story starts back in the year 2000, when John Glaser decided there were too many companies making and selling Scotch whisky in a similar way. He chose to create a blending house with a forward-looking approach. Creativity and process innovation remain at the heart of the Compass Box approach. Compass Box now operates from a London office and Blending Room with stocks of maturing whiskies in Scotland.
